Make a Difference Day

Sorry for the delay in posting this...I just now have gotten a chance to sit down at the computer.
First of all- to everyone that came out to Make a Difference Day yesterday- YOU ROCK!  Even the two girls who came and ended up joining another group...You still rock!

We met up at 7:30am (That's early on a Saturday for many).  After breakfast (Thanks Chick Fil A and ARM) and a devo from Lisa we headed out to Hurtsboro.  Officially the most far Cornerstone in the Community event we have had to date.  We worked on Mr. and Mrs. Randolph's home.  After prayer time with the family and team, a safety reminder by Brett (thanks Brett, my brain doesn't work too well early without notes), and a overview of work to be done, we got to work.

We tore out the hallway and kitchen floor- then replaced it and put down tile.  Did a little painting in the bathroom.  Replaced 3 windows, an exterior and interior door and replaced the broken unsafe stairs with a new set.  And I must say that I didn't see many...strike that...ANY folks just standing around.  Team work all around.  Even the kids helped clean up the yard before they played some.

I can't tell you how proud I was to know that we got more than we anticipated done, did it WELL, and square and functional.  For a old home like the Randolph's that is saying a TON.  Lots of hard work, time, gas in the car, and heart was put into the project.  The theme for ARM's work day was "Get out There" from John 4.  And our team did that in MANY ways.  So THANK YOU!  You guys blessed the Randolph's and I pray you were blessed in return.

I will post pics when Scott gets them done or I get some from Lisa.  (My camera battery was D.E.A.D.).
